Astronomy magazines?
Rylan Asked:
hi there. could anyone tell me if there are any astronomy magazines available specifically for juniors please?
my daughter (aged 11) is so excited! she has been saving her pocket money for months and has bought a second hand telescope with it.
are there any publications that would be benificial to buy? im so proud of her shes done extra chores to get her telescope so would like to encourage and help her all i can.
Reply:
Sky and Telescope and Astronomy are both excellent. If you want something she can use for a little longer, I would highly recommend the book "Nightwatch" by T. Dickinson. It will provide a lot more help with finding things in the night sky, and the illustrations are terrific.
